Our goal is to breed beautiful, conformationally correct Alaskan Malamutes that do the job that the breed was originally developed to do; pull. We strive to produce malamutes that have the drive to pull a sled and also the temperament to excel in obedience, therapy work and demonstrations.

We also show our Alaskan Malamutes in AKC confirmation events, and most of our dogs hold champion titles in addition to their working titles. We are also proud members of the Alaskan Malamute Club of America.

Why do we show? We want to continue to keep true, working Alaskan Malamutes in front of the judges and prove our dogs against other examples of their breed.

In addition to temperament and performance we also strive to produce dogs that are medically sound by doing health testing as well as submitting DNA to the AKC registry.

We occasionally will have puppies available for approved homes. If you are interested in getting a malamute puppy from Maelstrom, please contact us for more information. We may also have adult dogs available who have already proven themselves on the team and in the ring and are ready to spend the rest of their life lazing on the couch.
